Therapy & Assessments
-
We offer a comprehensive range of psychological assessments, including psychoeducational assessments, autism and neurodivergent assessments, giftedness assessments, ADHD assessments, and general psychological assessments. Each assessment is tailored to your specific concerns and questions.
-
The appropriate assessment depends on your specific concerns and questions. During an initial consultation, we'll discuss your situation and recommend the assessment that would best address your needs. For example, if you're concerned about learning difficulties, a psychoeducational assessment might be recommended, while concerns about social communication might indicate an autism assessment.
-
Yes, we provide individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as parenting support therapy. Our therapy approaches are evidence-based and tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
-
While we generally recommend separating assessment and therapy services to maintain objectivity, we understand this isn't always possible. We carefully manage these situations to ensure quality care and may refer you to another qualified professional within our practice when appropriate.
Workshops
-
Our custom workshops can be tailored for various audiences including schools, healthcare organizations, community groups, businesses, and parent groups. We develop content specifically for your audience's needs, whether they're educators, healthcare professionals, parents, or workplace teams.
-
We offer workshops on neurodiversity (ADHD, autism, executive functioning), mental health (anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation), assessment and intervention strategies, and parenting support. We can also develop customized content based on your organization's specific needs and learning objectives.
-
Our workshop services are billed at $235 per hour and include: an initial consultation to design the workshop, preparation time (typically 2-4 hours depending on scope), and the actual presentation time. For workshops outside Calgary, travel time is also billed at $235 per hour. We provide a detailed quote after the initial consultation.
-
All workshops include digital handouts that correspond to the presentation slides. Upon request, we can develop additional materials such as promotional posters, extended handouts, or reference guides, which are quoted separately based on your specific needs.
-
The host organization is responsible for providing a suitable presentation space with appropriate seating, audiovisual equipment (projector, screen, sound system), printed copies of handouts for participants, and any specialized equipment needed for interactive components.
-
Yes, we offer virtual workshops via your preferred platform, as well as in-person presentations at your location. We can also provide hybrid models combining in-person and virtual elements, depending on your organization's needs and preferences.

Our fees are structured as follows:
Assessments: $250 per hour
Therapy: $235 per hour
Workshops: $235 per hour
-
All services directly related to the assessment process are billed at the assessment rate of $250 per hour. This includes assessment administration, scoring, interpretation, report writing, and feedback sessions.
-
Professional letters, documentation review, consultation with other professionals or supports, record preparation on client request, and creating documentation (such as DTC or AISH applications) are billed at the therapy rate of $235 per hour when these services are inclusive to the therapy process.
-
We provide detailed receipts with all necessary information for insurance claims. Many extended health insurance plans cover psychological services. Please check your policy for specific coverage details and requirements.
-
We retain a credit card on file securely within our Jane software. Your card will be processed following your appointment unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Scheduling & Cancellations
-
You can schedule an appointment by emailing us or directly through our online booking system. Note: Assessment, workshop and consultation sessions are not available in online booking, please contact us for more information and support.
-
We require 24 hours notice for cancelling therapy appointments and 48 hours notice for cancelling assessment appointments. Appointments cancelled with less than the required notice will be charged the full session fee. This policy allows us to offer appointment times to clients on our waitlist. Workshop cancellation policy is minimum of one week, however, depending on the scope of the request this may increase.
-
If you arrive late, we will still end the session at the scheduled time to accommodate the next client. The full session fee will still apply.
Assessments
-
The duration varies depending on the type of assessment and individual factors. Most assessments require 6-12 hours of direct testing time, typically scheduled across 2-4 sessions, plus additional time for scoring, interpretation, and report preparation.
-
Yes, all assessments include a comprehensive written report that details findings, conclusions, and recommendations. We also schedule a feedback session to discuss the results in person.
-
Generally, parents do not observe assessment sessions as standardized procedures require children to work independently with the assessor. However, there are specific assessments where parent presence is required as part of the standardized procedure. We implement strategies to help children feel comfortable and secure during the assessment process.
-
Yes, we can conduct observations in natural settings such as school, daycare, or home when relevant to the assessment questions. These observations provide valuable information about how your child functions in their everyday environment. For such observations, we bill an additional hour to cover drive time to and from the location, at our standard assessment rate of $250 per hour. The observation time itself is billed as part of the assessment process. We'll discuss the value and timing of any observation during the initial assessment planning.
-
The comprehensive assessment report and feedback session are included in our standard assessment fee. However, if you require additional documentation not inclusive to the assessment process—such as specialized letters for specific purposes, detailed summary reports for third parties, or completion of external forms—these services are billed at our therapy rate of $235 per hour. We can provide an estimate of time required for any additional documentation requests before proceeding with the work.
Therapy
-
Therapy frequency is determined collaboratively based on your needs and goals. Typically, sessions are scheduled weekly, especially in the beginning. As progress is made, we may space out sessions to biweekly or monthly.
-
The duration of therapy varies based on your goals, concerns, and progress. Some clients benefit from brief therapy (6-12 sessions) focused on specific issues, while others may engage in longer-term therapy for more complex concerns.
-
We involve parents in age-appropriate ways. For young children, we typically have regular parent check-ins and may include parent-child sessions. For adolescents, we balance the teen's need for privacy with parents' desire for information, usually providing general updates without sharing specific details unless safety concerns arise.
Confidentiality & Privacy
-
Yes, therapy is confidential, with specific legal exceptions related to risk of harm to yourself or others, child protection concerns, or court orders. For children and adolescents, we balance confidentiality with appropriate parental involvement based on age and maturity.
-
We adhere to strict privacy standards and ethical guidelines. All information about you is stored securely and shared only with your explicit consent, except as required by law. Your credit card and personal health information is retained securely within Jane's payment processing system.

If you have concerns about assessment results, we encourage you to discuss these with us. We can schedule additional time to review findings, address specific concerns, and discuss whether additional assessment might be needed. You also have the right to seek a second opinion from another qualified professional.

As psychologists, we do not prescribe medication. If medication might be helpful for your situation, we can provide referrals to medical doctors and coordinate care with your prescriber to ensure a comprehensive treatment approach.
